HP-2 is a regular size (versus large) Therm-a-Rest Ridgerest® Deluxe sleeping pad (versus an inflating mat). It is the smaller of the two shown below in the picture – and is green on one side and purple on the other. At 6’ long, it will fit anyone (taller folks just extend off the bottom). At 1 lb, 2 oz weight, this one is worth carrying on a backpacking for a better rest. It is lighter than same length HT-7 which is a 3 Lb inflating mat, but just a few ounces more than the HP-4 mat. To use the pad, unfold it. Can be used as a double thickness for 3’ length. When done using the pad, first make sure it is completely dry. Don’t store wet equipment. Fold and slide the pad into the carrying bag.
